A woman was almost killed after being trampled by a herd of cows which left her in a coma for eight days. Pip Peacock, was walking her dog Buster when she was suddenly attacked by the angry farm animals.

The 63-year-old was knocked to the ground by one cow before the herd began kicking and trampling over her as she lay defenceless on the ground.

The retired teacher was eventually assisted by two passers-by who chased the cattle away before dialling emergency services for help.

An air ambulance team was dispatched to attend to Pip, who already had 34 fractures in her ribs and couldn’t move, before taking her to hospital.
