Woman, 41, cleared of involvement in drug trafficking conspiracy

Amanda Kershaw, 41, was acquitted by a jury at Bolton Crown Court of being part of the gang which plied Class A drugs between the two cities.

Ms Kershaw, of Cambridge Street, York, walked free from court. Legal issues relating to her co-accused Simon Potter, 48, of the same address are to be heard at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.

During the hearing, the jury heard how mobile phone calls and texts tracked to phone masts across the Pennines helped bust the gang.
