A woman was cut free from a car after a crash on a main road in south Manchester. The smash happened on busy Wilbraham Road at around 5.40pm yesterday (Wednesday).
Two cars were involved, a spokesperson for the fire service confirmed. A female was cut free from one of the vehicles by firefighters.

In a statement, a Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) spokesperson said: "At just after 5.40pm yesterday (March 27) two fire engines from Withington and Moss Side fire stations plus the technical response unit from Ashton fire station were called to a crash involving two cars on Wilbraham Road, Manchester. "Firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to rescue one female from one of the vehicles before handing them to the care of colleagues from North West Ambulance Service.
