West Lothian Council made over £100,000 in the year after they began charging people £25 for bulk uplifts of household rubbish.A Freedom of Information (FOI) request sent by The Courier to West Lothian Council revealed the figure and also showed there were over 10,000 fewer requests for the bulk uplift service in the first year the new charge was introduced.In the final year that the resource was free of charge from May 2017 - May 2018 there were 15,566 bulk uplifts but once West Lothian Council put the £25 fee in place there were only 5237 uplifts from May 2018 - May 2019.From that first year in 2018/19 West Lothian Council raised £130,820 in total from the 5237 in West Lothian.MSP Miles Briggs said: “West Lothian Council have been forced
