'Unavoidable' seven-month road closure amidst town's regeneration announced

iOS - Android Temporary road closures between Bannatyne Street and Thomas Taylor Avenue will come into effect on Sunday, May 30 from 6am.This will allow for scaffolding associated with redevelopment to be put up.Signed diversion routes will operate for the entire period of the closure.Access to Wellhead Court and Thomas Taylor Avenue will be maintained from the northern end of Woodstock Road.The diversion will be via Woodstock Road, Kenilworth Road, St Leonard Street, Bannatyne Street and vice versa.SLC's enterprise and community resources committee chairman, Councillor John Anderson, said the closure was "unavoidable" to allow for this regeneration project to go ahead.He told Lanarkshire Live: “I know the people of Lanark have been very.
