Birmingham Live, Which? has today announced  that Aldi has maintained its position as the cheapest supermarket in the UK for September.

The price comparison looked at the cost for a trolley of 70 items, including groceries and household essentials.And the analysis showed Aldi coming in the cheapest at just £60.01 –  a whopping £18.27 less than Tesco, a difference of 26.4 per cent.Speaking about the results, Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi, said: "We know that this is a difficult time for so many families who are feeling the financial impact of Covid-19 and so we are incredibly proud to have maintained our position as the UK’s cheapest supermarket."She added: "Now more than ever, we know just how important it is to.
