A man was charged more than £35k for a 15-minute Uber journey in Manchester - after the destination was accidentally set to AUSTRALIA.
Oliver Kaplan, 22, had just finished a shift and ordered a ride to go and meet some friends for a drink. An Uber picked the trainee chef up from the Buxton Inn, Hyde.
It then took him to the Witchwood, a pub in Ashton-under-Lyne - a journey of roughly four miles. Oliver says the price quoted on the app was between £10 and £11, which he happily accepted - and thought nothing more of it.
