A 'lovely' mum died just months after doctors failed to spot the signs of a brain tumour, an inquest heard. Katie Flynn died aged just 34 on March 6, leaving behind two children, the Liverpool Echo reports.
She had been diagnosed with a brain tumour, which a doctor at the Walton Centre in Liverpool initially failed to stop until it had grown by 10mm in size.
A coroner ruled that neglect contributed towards her tragic death. An inquest held on Wednesday heard there were a number of 'missed opportunities' and failures in relation to Katie's care, including post-surgery.
