Allen, who has voiced Buzz Lightyear in the past four animated featured films said that the studio has reached out to him and co-star Tom Hanks, who voices Woody, to return. “Bob Iger, head of Disney, said it was on,” Allen said while making an appearance on The Tonight Show Tuesday night. “He actually said it was going to happen.
They have reached out to Tom and I to reprise the roles. They’re not saying anything about it.” However, Allen questions about returning to the animated franchise. “For people like me, it’s just like — I’m a sci-fi buff.
