THE Luminaries viewers have raged they have 'no idea what's going on' as they binge-watch the BBC drama. The third episode of the new adaptation of Eleanor Catton's hit novel airs tonight, and is set in the 19th Century during New Zealand's Gold Rush.

However, some viewers have chosen to binge-watch the series on BBC iPlayer, and have inadvertently warned those watching it episodically that it's a baffling show.

Whether they have watched one, three or all six episodes, a number of viewers have taken to Twitter to say they haven't got the foggiest what the plot is about.
