‘The End of the F***ing World’ Actor Alex Lawther & British Indie Firm Lowkey Films Set Climate-Focused Animation Competition
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Climate Spring, TK-FX, and indie British firm Lowkey Films have teamed on a new venture titled the Climate Short Animation Film Competition, in partnership with BBC Writers and in collaboration with BFI Network.
The winning project entered into the competition will collaborate with TK-FX and Lowkey Films to produce their creation, backed by a total production grant of £30k with further in-kind production support.
The competition jury will be led by Alex Lawther (The End of the F***ing World). Applications will open in January 2024, with additional judges to be announced.
Open to writers, directors, or teams of writers and directors, the competition invites participation from experienced creators aged 18 and above, not in full-time education, residing or eligible to work in the UK, and possessing previous experience in crafting live-action or animated content.
