Netflix's new series, The Brothers Sun, is getting loads of love, with a top score on Rotten Tomatoes and fans saying it's the "best show in a long time." It's been so popular, it could knock Michelle Keegan's Fool Me Once off the number one spot. The Brothers Sun is all about action and laughs, with a story that mixes family troubles and funny moments.

Michelle Yeoh, who won an Oscar for Everything Everywhere All at Once, stars as the boss of a gangster family and is shot. Her son, Charles "Chairleg" Sun (played by Justin Chien), has to rush to Los Angeles to look after her while keeping his little brother, Bruce (Sam Song Li), in the dark about the family business. The series explores Taipei's deadliest societies and a rising faction battling for power all while Charles and Bruce try to mend their broken bonds with their mum.

The show is the brainchild of newcomer Byron Wu and Brad Falchuk, co-creator of American Horror Story. Speaking about the series, Brad said the show delves into "what it means to be a son, what it means to be a brother, and also what it means to try and keep a family together".

He added: "We do an extreme version of it because they're a crime family and there are people shooting at them and trying to kill them." However Brad noted that the emotional problems they face are "very, very universal".The Brothers Sun has been a hit with viewers, earning Netflix its first 90 percent-plus Rotten Tomatoes score of 2024.
