Tess Daly was full of nostalgia which led to fans flooding her with messages as she reflected on Strictly Come Dancing's huge milestone.
The hit BBC One dance contest first aired on May 15 2004 as a new incarnation of the professional dancing series Come Dancing.
Twenty years on and over the weekend, Strictly won the best entertainment gong at the Bafta Television Awards for the third time on Sunday (May 12).
When the series first began, Tess Daly and Sir Bruce Forsyth presented the show together and Len Goodman, Dame Arlene Phillips, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli were the judges.
