Genshin Impact patch 3.7 will reintroduce the Divine Ingenuity event, allowing players to build their own Domain.Version 3.7 — titled Duel! The Summoners’ Summit! — is bringing the event back after one year as the new Divine Ingenuity Collector’s Chapter, once again offering players the chance to use the game’s creation tools to make their own Domain.While 3.7 starts today (May 24), Divine Ingenuity Collector’s Chapter will join the game on June 8 and run through to June 29, so players will have around three weeks to play the event. Nintendo will be removing its gacha elements (essentially randomised in-game items or cosmetics for real money) from its mobile racing spin-off Mario Kart Tour. While microtransactions will still be present, players will be able to purchase items directly instead of having to blindly pump money into the game to receive randomised goodies. This was confirmed via the official Twitter account for the game, with the update set to arrive October 4.Additionally, Battle Mode will also be coming to the Mario Kart Tour in a late September update, which is a side mode that’s present in all of the mainline titles that shifts the focus away from racing.The title released back in September 2019, and is currently the latest release in the Mario Kart franchise.

Old School Runescape update adds another challenge mode to the game, this time in the form of speedrunning. To be specific, the speedrunning pertains to the game’s Quests, which “takes place on members-only worlds with separate save files”.A blog post on the Old School Runescape website explains that “upon logging on to a Speedrunning world, you’ll be prompted to select the quest you’d like to run.” Once a quest has been selected, “the game will automatically adjust your stats to the recommended levels for the quest you’ve chosen, as well as providing all the relevant items.”Although players don’t have to be constantly engaged in a speedrun when in one of these worlds, XP can’t be earned in them, so skills can’t be leveled up. However, participating in speedruns will provide players with “reward points which will transfer across to your main account in the normal game mode.” These reward points will scale depending on how efficiently a player finishes a quest, with a maximum of 320 points being available from a single quest.The speedrunning worlds are clearly aimed at players who are already experienced with Old School Runescape and looking for a change, as they provide no tutorial or trading, with aspects such as PvP and minigames including Castle Wars and Soul Wars being disabled.As with any good speedrunning mode, statistics such as the current time during a speedrun, personal best time, and global best time will all be viewable, as well as the times needed for each of the rewards.The update will launch with five early game quests – Cook’s Assistant, Ernest the Chicken, Demon Slayer, Vampyre Slayer, and Dragon Slayer 1.

Terraria‘s highly-anticipated 1.4.4 update is apparently “extremely close” to the end of development and could release soon.According to a new Terraria State of the Game blog post talking about the upcoming Labor of Love update, 1.4.4 has “reached a point where we feel like the end of development is extremely close”  (via PCGamesN).Re-Logic explained that it has been “whittling down” the bugs and tasks lists, while also taking on community ideas. Diablo Immortal has been met with further criticism from the community, this time regarding the game’s Hungering Moon event. The event, which runs from July 15-17, rewards players with The Moon’s Favour after completing all seven of the tasks included. The Moon’s Favour converts to a single legendary crest (which can be used to earn gems), three rare crests, and 25 Aspiran’s keys.This has led to ire from fans in regards to Blizzard’s stingy distribution of legendary crests.

Konami has managed to make an exclusivity deal with Italian football club Inter Milan for eFootball. This information came via a press release that stated that the club would only be appearing in eFootball from July 2024 and “no other video game.” Additionally, a post on the Inter Milan website notes that starting with the 2022/2023 sports season, the eFootball logo “will appear on the back of the men’s, women’s and youth teams first team training kit, as well as on the pre-match kit”.This means that key competitor FIFA (which will be changing its branding to EA Sports FC following the release of this year’s title) will need to come up with a fake name for the club. Romancing Saga: Minstrel Song has been announced by Square Enix and is scheduled to release this winter.Minstrel Song is a remake of the original 1992 Super Famicom Romancing Saga RPG and was initially released for PS2. Outside of changing the 16-bit visuals to 3D, the remake also made changes to several character designs and made alterations to the battle system and class system, but still includes the original’s eight main playable characters.

Activision Blizzard has released a “launch roadmap” for Diablo: Immortal in order to ensure a smooth launch for players.The mobile version will begin to appear on the Apple App Store and Play Store on the morning of June 1 ahead of the official launch on June 2. MiHoYo has revealed the newest character who will be joining the Genshin Impact roster soon.As usual, the developer took to Twitter today (May 16) to announce the latest addition to the free-to-play role-playing game (RPG), revealing the official artwork for the character, Doushin Shikanoin.So far, it’s been confirmed that Doushin Shikanoin will wield the Anemo Vision – one of seven elemental abilities in the game – along with a sword. Riot Games has released the patch notes for League Of Legends update 12.7 which is set to go live on April 13.The patch notes go into detail on how the developer has made adjustments to not only several Champions but also a collection of items and bug fixes. New York Times has purchased the online word-solving game, Wordle, it appears that the publication has altered the game despite claims it hasn’t.According to The Guardian journalist Alex Hern, the New York Times has changed its statement regarding the changes it’s made to Wordle after its acquisition. CD Projekt RED is planning a new, standalone, single-player version of Gwent, its card game spinoff from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.The game is currently under development with the existing Gwent development team, and has the working title “Project Golden Nekker” (thanks, IGN).
