Strictly Come Dancing pro lifts lid on life in 'pressured' show rehearsals
dailyrecord.co.ukKristina Rihanoff has lifted a lid on what it was like to prepare for Strictly Come Dancing, following the decision to give competing stars chaperones during rehearsals. The former Strictly pro thinks the move will prompt more celebrities to sign up as it will make them feel more "at ease" knowing there is someone to keep an eye on things.
It comes after official complaints were lodged against two other dancers over alleged mistreatment Speaking to the BBC, Kristina, who participated on the sow between 2008 to 2015, said there was often a feeling of pressure when it came to rehearsals which could be "frustrating".
She did stress it was still a "wonderful" experience, but still rather testing, with duos often required to take breathers from eachother."You have to learn several different dances and you're already exhausted and your celebrity partner is exhausted, and you just feel the heat," Rihanoff said.
It's a really, really pressurised environment and a lot of dancers struggle with mental health."Despite this, Rihanoff stressed any inappropriate behaviour is "unjustifiable".She added: "You shouldn’t really get onto your celebrity.
