Joe Otterson TV Reporter “Star Trek: Discovery” has a premiere date for Season 5, which will also be the show’s last. The fifth and final season of the series will premiere with two episodes on April 4 on Paramount+ in the U.S., the UK, Switzerland, South Korea, Latin America, Germany, France, Italy, Australia, Austria, and Canada.
New episodes will then drop weekly on Thursdays. The final season will consist of 10 episodes. The official description of Season 5 states, “The fifth and final season will find Captain Burnham and the crew of the U.S.S.
Discovery uncovering a mystery that will send them on an epic adventure across the galaxy to find an ancient power whose very existence has been deliberately hidden for centuries.
But there are others on the hunt as well…dangerous foes who are desperate to claim the prize for themselves and will stop at nothing to get it.” It was announced in March 2023 that “Discovery” would be coming to an end. “Discovery” has been the flagship modern “Star Trek” series since it launched in 2017, at a time when Paramount+ was still known as CBS All Access.
