Sir Rod Stewart helped his 95-year-old sister celebrate her birthday amid the festive season. On Boxing Day, the music legend - who is the youngest of five children - put his sister in the spotlight as she marked a rather impressive birthday, reports the Mirror.Taking to Instagram Stories, Sir Rod shared a sweet snap of himself and his big sister posing together in a luxurious hotel.

The Maggie May singer rocked a shimmering animal print evening jacket, crisp white shirt, white coloured suit vest, and pipe-straight black trousers.Standing alongside her brother, Mary looked elegant in a dark coloured dress, and accessorised with a necklace and a chic evening handbag.

The star threw the spotlight on his sister as he uploaded the picture for his fans and social media followers, whilst adding the caption: "Happy 95th sister Mary.”The 78-year-old was joined by other members of his family as they celebrated Mary's birthday, alongside son Aiden, wife Penny Lancaster, his other son Alastair and Alastair’s girlfriend Eloise May Darlington all gathering together.

Rod has often been public about his affection for his sister - even bringing her on stage with him when he has performed.In 2022, the star was performing in Edinburgh when he brought Mary out to join him in front of thousands of adoring fans.
