Simon Cowell revealed that he was close to ‘living in a wheelchair,’ after his electric bike accident 3 years ago.
The accident, however tragic, gave Simon a ‘completely different outlook on life,’ reported MailOnline. Since his accident, Simon has lost 3 stones and has gradually ditched smoking over the years.
It is understood that at one point, the star used to smoke 80 cigarettes a day. The August 2020 accident almost left him paralysed as the star underwent a 6-hour surgery including having a metal rod put in his back. The music mogul felt ‘completely helpless’ but the accident led him to realise that his health was more important than anything else.
The realisation saw Simon establish a better work-life balance. According to MailOnline, the BGT star wants to cut down ‘stress’ in life for which he avoids work calls after 6 pm.
