Simon Cowell
Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor (2004–2010, 2014–present) and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), and the American television talent competition series American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). Cowell is the principal, founder and chief executive of the British entertainment company Syco.
Amanda Holden
Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English media personality, actress, television presenter, singer, and author. She has judged on the television talent show competition Britain's Got Talent since the show began its run in 2007 on ITV. As an actress, Holden played the role of Mel in Kiss Me Kate (1998–2000), Geraldine Titley in The Grimleys (1999-2001), Sarah Trevanion in Wild at Heart (2006–2008), Lizzie, the Ring Mistress, in Big Top (2009), and the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie, for which she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.

BGT fans unimpressed and accuse show of 'fix' after heartwarming mother-daughter audition

Fans of Britain's Got Talent were left unimpressed as they accused the show of a 'fix' after a heartwarming mother-daughter audition.

On Saturday night's episode of the show, Claire Connelly made the ultimate sacrifice for her daughter, as she told the judges that she in fact was giving up her audition so her 15 year old daughter Tia could take her place instead.

Claire said to BGT judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli: "She [her daughter] thinks it’s me who’s auditioning. "She’s got me through some very hard times in my life and I feel like I owe her, so I’m giving my audition up for my daughter. "This is my way of saying she’s fabulous because she deserves it and she’s an incredible person." Tia then had jaws dropping as she sang Whitney Houston's I Didn’t Know My Own Strength, leaving the judges swooning over the audition.

But some show fans accused producers of staging the mother-daughter sacrifice, calling it a 'fix'. "Giving her audition to her daughter looks like a fix.
