He has a scrap metal business and a property portfolio."He provides employment to people and makes a positive contribution to the community."There are similar previous convictions but these are of some age."Mr McLean knows this crosses the custody threshold but he is assessed as minimal risk and I ask the court to deal with him by way of a community-based order."Jack Grant, defending Dickson, produced character references and told the court: "He makes no attempt to justify his behaviour and is genuinely remorseful.
