Sheriff orders guilty pair from North Lanarkshire to pay compensation to assault victim

An assault victim is to get £2,000 compensation after late night violence following a function in Coatbridge.Gareth McLean, 41, from Bellshill and Stephen Dickson, 36, from Wishaw, admitted punching a man repeatedly on the head and body to his injury and permanent disfigurement.Airdrie Sheriff Court heard that the assault happened in Dunbeth Road on February 5 last year.McLean's partner, Amanda Dallas, 38, admitted repeatedly striking a woman's head against a railing to her injury.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
