Scott Brown has opened up on his Fleetwood Town sacking, admitting he is "sad" that his stint at the club has come to an end.
The former Celtic captain was axed this week after a poor run of form. Assistants Steven Whittaker and Barry Nicholson have also been relieved of their duties as the ex-Scotland international now looks for his next role.
Brown's name has been mentioned in relation to the current vacancy at formative club Hibs, but the Central Coast mariners boss Nick Montgomery is the favourite to take over the Leith club.
Brown has been left gutted at getting the boot despite signing a new deal in the summer. But he accepts responsibility for a poor run that ultimately cost him his first job in management.
