Scots soft plan closed after 'filthy' photos are shared by concerned parents online

A soft play has been closed to undergo a deep clean after "filthy" photos of the premises were shared online. Parents raised concerns about the cleanliness of Enjoy Leisure at Musselburgh Sports Centre in East Lothian.Think layers of dust and dirt can be seen in some of the photos shared while others show surfaces covered in black dirty marks.

Tunnels and netting in the play can also be seen covered in thick dust.One parent said she was "disappointed" in the cleanliness while Enjoy Leisure bosses have apologised for "failing to meet the high standards".

After seeing the images, soft play chiefs said they are "concerned and disappointed", Edinburgh Live reports.Bill Axon, Chief Executive of Enjoy Leisure, said: “The cleanliness of our facilities is extremely important to us.

We were very concerned and disappointed to see the pictures shared online which a customer took while visiting one of our soft play sites.“We have temporarily closed the soft play while we await a deep clean at the site, and have taken steps to ensure the required cleaning measures are met to bring the soft play back to the standard we expect."We can only apologise that on this occasion we have failed to meet the high standards expected of us and we look forward to welcoming our customers and members back very soon.” Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond.
