A Scottish schoolgirl penned a heartwarming job application to a shop near her home - despite being just eight years old.Plucky Sophie Wilson jumped at the chance to work at her local Londis store in Parkhouse, Glasgow, after spotting a help wanted sign in the window.
The p5 Teresa’s Primary School pupil penned a handwritten CV to shopkeeper Manoj Bhardwaj.Sophie pointed out she would be perfect for the role by including a list of her skills such as "good at counting and experience of cleaning my room".Sophie wrote: "I am very friendly and I think I would be good for this job because I am good at counting and I have good timekeeping skills."I have cleaning experience as I clean my room and help my mum and dad clean and help them put the shopping (away) and I think I would be good at stacking the shelves."I would like to work on the till as I used to play shop keepers.
I think this job position would be good for me as I am local. Yours sincerely, Sophie Wilson."Sophie's mum Joanne McNaught and dad Paul Wilson said they were very proud of their daughter's initiative.
Joanne said: "We stay round the corner from the shop so she’s there every day, sometimes twice a day."She loves playing shopkeeper at home.
