Guests at a Scots holiday park have slammed the “disgusting” state of the “luxury” apartment they paid a £126-a-night to stay in.
The Fife holidaymakers lambasted the condition of the cabin they were assigned at the Haven Craig Tara Holiday Park, near Ayr, in Ayrshire.
The family claimed to have found an ashtray filled with old cigarettes and scabby paintwork and mould across the veranda before they even stepped inside.Inside they said cupboards were hanging off the walls, sofas were ripped, chopping boards were stained, and there was urine around the toilet and grease on the kitchen walls.
The guests alleged they complained to staff but were told there was no other apartments available, reported Edinburgh Live. One of the family ended up trying to clean the apartment himself, they said, before leaving a day early. The Veranda Apartment is described by its owners as a “private place to sample the sea breeze” and includes “all the great things about our comfort models with a fantastic outdoor area that’s truly the icing on the cake of a great stay.“Complete with a table and chairs, it brings even more light to your staycation life.”The upset guest took to Facebook to criticise the facilities.
