‘Prince Charming’ Scots carer takes OAP on dream date with posh dinner and red roses

A Scots care home worker has been hailed a ‘star’ after taking an elderly resident on her ‘dream date’ complete with a posh dinner and bouquet of roses.

Wellbeing team leader Ross Gavin set about fulfilling the wish of 87-year-old Violet Devaney, who lives at Benore Care Centre, near Lochgelly, Fife.

The pensioner had her hair and nails done during a luxury pamper session on Wednesday before donning her finest sequin top as she waited to meet her ‘Prince Charming’.

Ross, 30, dressed for the occasion in a three-piece suit, complete with ‘winkle picker shoes’, before greeting his ‘date’ at the door of the home.
