A cat that was spotted wandering the streets of Perth was this week reunited with its worried owners after she was reported missing two months ago – 120-miles away in the Highlands.

Spooky the moggie was seen acting “quite skittish” and “lost” – hiding under cars. It was only when one local community Facebook page aimed at reuniting lost pets with their owners got involved that owners were traced.Spooky was found by resident Amy Hart, who then contacted the volunteers from Missing Pets, Perth and Kinross Scotland.

They attended and scanned Spooky’s microchip and it was discovered that the female cat had gone on its own adventure.Volunteers assumed that Spooky lived nearby, but the microchip details revealed the Nairn address and Spooky’s owner, Lindsay Arbuckle, was contacted and told the good news – that she was safe and well.In a post on the page this week, the group said: “Last night a local Perthshire resident alerted us to a black cat in town that seemed quite skittish and ‘lost’ – hiding under cars.

As no vets were available at that time, we managed to get out and scan the cat.“Assuming that she was a local just out on a wander.
