Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will have to face National Service if the Conservative Party’s plans to introduce the mandatory service go ahead.
Ahead of July’s upcoming general election, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak recently announced his plans to revive National Service if the Conservative party are re-elected, with a spokesman for the party confirming to The Telegraph that even royal children wouldn’t be exempt.
Under the proposals, 18 year olds would be required to undertake a period of mandatory service in either the armed forces or in the public sector.
Around 30,000 out of 700,000 young people are estimated to spend a year in the military, under the proposals, with placements carried out in several sectors including logistics, cyber security, procurement or civil response operations.
