Ronald Araujo has admitted he 'always wanted to stay' at Barcelona despite links to Manchester United. Araujo has established himself as a key player in Barcelona's rebuild project.
The centre-back has made 39 appearances across all competitions for Barcelona this season and he's slowly built a reputation as one of Europe's most exciting defenders.
However, the 23-year-old's future at Barcelona was recently surrounded by uncertainty with his contract at the Nou Camp expiring in the summer of 2023.
United, Liverpool and other Premier League clubs all reportedly had an interest in the player, but Araujo has now put pen to paper on a new deal at Barcelona, which will keep him playing in La Liga until 2026.
