The TV presenter and former footballer opened up about a cringe-worthy incident on the tube during a chat with Micah Richards and Alan Shearer on The Rest is Football podcast.The conversation started with Alan Shearer playfully ribbing Gary about his recent tube journey, prompting Gary to laugh sheepishly before sharing: "I get public transport all the time, I live near the train station.
I walk there and get trains into London. I get the tube everywhere and I was on the tube one day last week and it was absolutely jam packed."Gary Lineker recounted how, while standing in a crowded carriage, he caught the attention of "a young lady" seated nearby.
However, her response was not what he expected."I couldn't move and there was a young lady sitting on her seat and she looked up at me and she went 'would you like a seat'", said Gary, leading to an outburst of laughter from Alan and Micah.
