Jake Kanter International TV EditorMipcom organizer Reed Midem has provided an insight on the work it is doing to make sure the annual TV market can go ahead safely in October, as the coronavirus pandemic continues to rage across the world.Laurine Garaude, the director of Reed Midem’s television division, said her team is “extremely motivated” to stage the Cannes event on October 12-15, saying they “feel more strongly than ever how important it is to support the industry.”She was bullish about its prospects of going ahead.
Garaude said “Europe is doing much better now” in terms of containing COVID-19 and that the French government will start allowing events of more than 5,000 people to take place from September.
