Rangers' hopes of landing defensive target Kaiky from Almeria have taken another hit after the Spanish side detailed their plan for the youngster. Record Sport Online previously told how the Segunda Division outfit had booted out an offer from the Light Blues for the centre-back.
A loan with a fee of €750,000 that includes a €7m option to buy and a 30 per cent sell on fee was knocked back according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano as Philippe Clement attempts to bring in fresh faces ahead of the deadline next week.
Now reports from Spain from leading publication Marca state that his current employers are confident the stopper will stay at the club and that he has a bright future ahead of him.
They report: "The Almería club is confident that the young centre-back has a great future and believes that it would be good for him to continue accumulating minutes in the Second Division, in this case with the red and white shirt ." It comes as Clement conceded he needs to shift bodies to bring in new arrivals.
