Rangers fan dubbed 'Seville Saviour' overjoyed to celebrate Christmas after Scot saves life in Spain

A football fan who became a Seville saviour for Rangers supporters will celebrate Christmas with friends - after a quick-thinking Scot saved his life.

David Redshaw regularly runs buses for British holidaymakers wishing to take in a Malaga match whilst in Spain.David, nicknamed Reggie, secured legendary status among the Gers faithful when he organised buses to take around 500 die-hards to the Europa League final.

The Manchester City supporter has lived in Spain for the last 36 years and works at Bar Ibensa, in the popular tourist destination of Benalmádena.He was in the bar earlier this month when worried co-owner Aimee Smith, from Netherlee, Glasgow, phoned him an ambulance.

And her quick-thinking meant he got the help he needed and will be able to celebrate Christmas with friends, after spending four days in Intensive Care.David, 62, said: "I was in Bar Ibensa when Aimee told me she was going to call an ambulance as I appeared to be acting in a confused state.
