The High Court has ruled against Prince Harry in his legal fight over security arrangements for his UK visits. The long-standing disagreement relates to whether the Duke, who moved to America with Meghan Markle in 2020, should have British police protection.
The decision came on Wednesday morning from senior judge Sir Peter Lane. He found no wrongdoing in the Home Office's actions.
Their decision was originally made on February 28, 2020, and he said it followed proper procedures and was not irrational. Prince Harry had been upset when he was told he no longer fit the criteria for protection.
The Royal and Public Figures Protection Committee (Ravec), overseen by the Home Office, had made this call. This sparked several court hearings and in July 2022, Prince Harry won a partial victory.
