Prince Andrew dealt blow as he is 'banned' from another Royal event after being forced out of home

The Royal Family made a grand return to the public eye last week with a united front at the Trooping the Colour. Just two days later, they regrouped for the annual Order of the Garter procession at Windsor Castle.Both events are deeply rooted in history and hold significant importance in the Royal calendar.

However, one family member was noticeably absent from both occasions.The Order of the Garter, founded in 1348 by King Edward III, is Britain's oldest and most prestigious order of chivalry.

King Charles, Princess Anne, and Prince William are all members, as is Prince Andrew, who has been a Knight of the Garter since 2006.However, he was conspicuously missing from Monday's procession.

Andrew last attended the Garter Day service in 2019. The event was cancelled in both 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, and in 2022, Prince Andrew was absent from the public-facing procession, although he did attend the investiture and the lunch, according to the Mirror, reports OK!.Reports suggest that his exclusion from the procession came after intervention from his brother Charles and nephew William, who both strongly objected to his presence.Andrew stepped back from his duties as a working member of the Royal family in 2020 following his ill-fated BBC Newsnight interview where he discussed his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.In January 2022, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Andrew's military titles and Royal patronages had been returned to the late Queen.
