The Daily Mail report SPFL chief Neil Doncaster and SFA vice-president Mike Mulraney held a virtual meeting with top-flight clubs on Friday.
On the agenda was how to proceed if play cannot continue in the coming months. In July, clubs rejected a proposal which would allow the SPFL complete power to decide the fate of the campaign.
It's reported a second, similar resolution is now under consideration, as set is a set of pre-determined options based on number of fixtures played.
The first shutdown sparked months of in-fighting and the decision to relegate Hearts, Partick Thistle and Stranraer led the former two clubs taking the SPFL to court.
