Police launch CCTV appeal after man stabbed on university campus

Police want to speak to these two men after a stabbing on a university campus. During the attack the victim, a man in his 20s, suffered injuries to his hand which police say 'were consistent with a bladed article being used.' A woman in her 30s was also punched in the face as she tried to clam the situation down.

The incident took place at about 8pm on Friday, December 30, 2022 on the university campus between Oxford Road and Higher Cambridge Street, Manchester. Read more: “It was terrifying": Shoppers horrified after man is stabbed outside Asda No arrests have been made in connection with the attack.

Pc Joe Couchman, of GMP's Longsight district, said: "This is completely unacceptable behaviour and we are following a number of lines of enquiry to try and identify the offenders. "We are now in a position to see if anyone has any information or witnessed the incident, please contact us as soon as possible."
