Police in Lanarkshire remain at the scene following early morning two car smash

Emergency services are still at the scene of a two car smash on a busy Hamilton road this morning.Police raced to Almada Street at its junction with Montrose Crescent during rush hour traffic just after 8.30am on Wednesday.That followed reports of a car accident.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

A source told Lanarkshire Live : "It happened on Almada Street at the crossroads junction at Montrose Crescent where there is four sets of lights. "The police are still there diverting traffic into one lane."One of the vehicles is a total mess.
