Retired ex-Bolton Wanderers striker Marvin Sordell has raised questions of whether players will actually want to return to action when football resumes due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Sordell scored eight goals in 29 appearances for Wanderers between 2012 and 2013, before departing for newly promoted Premier League Burnley in 2014.

From then, he had spells at Colchester United, Coventry City, Northampton Town and Burton Albion, but announced his retirement from professional football last year at the age of 28 and cited the 'detrimental effect' the game had has on his mental health as part of the reason why.
