Mamma Mia star Meryl Streep confirms she has been separated from husband for 'more than six years'
Meryl Streep has confirmed in a statement that she separated from her husband Don Gummer more than six years ago.The 74 year old actress – who has starred in movies such as Mamma Mia!, The Devil Wears Prada and Death Becomes Her – married sculptor Don, 76, in 1978.The former couple share four children; musician son Henry, 43, and actress daughters Mamie, 40, Grace, 37, and Louisa, 32. Meryl confirmed the sad news via her representative in a statement to Page Six in the early hours of Saturday morning.The statement reads: "Don Gummer and Meryl Streep have been separated for more than 6 years, and while they will always care for each other, they have chosen lives apart." Meryl and Don had not been photographed together since they attended the Oscars in 2018, where Meryl was nominated for Best Actress for her role in The Post as Katharine Graham.
