For the first time, the festivities will be held outside of a stadium with the athletes marching down the Seine River as top athletes will be boating down the iconic waterway. The Opening Ceremony officially begins at 7:30pm local time in Paris, but fans in the United States can start watching the event at 1:30pm ET on NBC and will be streamed online on Peacock, NBC.com, NBCOlympics.com, and on the NBC or NBC Olympics apps. Lady Gaga is expected to perform during the Opening Ceremony and there’s a big rumor going around that she will be performing a duet with another major entertainer.
