A Pan-Asian restaurant and club lounge is opening at Manchester Airport hotel The Crowne Plaza as a £8m refurb continues. The hotel, conveniently situated next to all three terminals, reopened to guests in February following the completion of the first phase of the refurbishment project which saw a ‘bright and homely’ makeover featuring a new all-day lounge bar and open lobby area.

Owned by IHG Hotels, 299 of the venue’s bedrooms were also given a modern new look featuring high-quality Egyptian cotton sheets, large flat screen TVs, bathtubs and double glazed windows to help reduce outside noise. The Crowne Plaza has now unveiled further areas of the hotel that have been recently refurbished, including the return of the standalone Sampans restaurant.

The Pan-Asian venue serves the likes of Dim Sum, noodles, soups, curries and rice dishes. Already previously a popular foodie spot for guests, the restaurant has received a full revamp with a new menu, which will also include desserts like the Malaysian Kuih Dar Dar - a type of rolled-up crepe traditionally flavoured with coconut and pandan.
