Once derelict mill that was blighted by anti-social behaviour is transformed into housing development

Work to transform a once derelict mill into homes and apartments has been completed. Elisabeth Mill in Reddish, Stockport, became a target for vandals and was blighted by anti social behaviour after it closed in the early 2000s.

Six years ago, police and firefighters were called to the area around 50 times in just over two months following a spate of arson attacks.

Now the site has been transformed into a development of more than 200 homes, named Elisabeth Gardens. The mill has been converted into 163 one-and two-bedroom apartments, while a 'village' of 50 new homes have been built at the site.

The work has been carried out by energy and regeneration specialist ENGIE, on behalf of De Trafford. Prices on DeTrafford's website show
