As all the contestants arrived at the Retreat, a swanky country house in the middle of the Sussex countryside, they started to get to know each other.

When presenter Davina McCall arrived, as fans were already thrilled by one particular element of the show's format, the four women were told it was time to pick their man to go on a first date with.

Scottish brunette Caroline, 51, instantly knew she wanted to pick Roger, 58, and the pair enjoyed a drink and a chat on the lawn.
