My Chemical Romance has announced they are selling fabric face masks for coronavirus relief, as NME points out. According to the product description, the masks were originally conceived by former band manager Lauren Valencia, who passed away from cancer in 2019, and were originally intended for a desert show “that never happened, never will.” All proceeds from sales of the mask will go to the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund, which seeks to aid music professionals who have been affected by the ongoing pandemic.
Find them here and check out the mask design below via guitarist Frank Iero. My Chemical Romance were set to begin their reunion tour last month in Oceania before postponing those dates due to COVID-19 concerns.
