Ezra Furman has shared her new EP ‘Sex Education: Songs From Season Four’ which features tracks from the Netflix series’ final season.Furman has worked closely with the creative team on every season of the series to provide original songs for the show. She has returned one last time for the last season with three new tracks, ‘You Like Me’, ‘Tether’ and ‘Honeycomb’.

Ezra Furman has announced to fans that she will be taking a break from touring, due to the “pressure and exhaustion” it causes.The American singer-songwriter announced the planned hiatus on her social media pages, revealing that once she completes her upcoming leg of UK shows, she will be holding off on any more tours for “an undecided amount of time”.In the post, shared yesterday (August 15), Furman explained that there are an array of factors that led to her decision, including “a popular explosion of transphobia”, “increasingly corporate-owned music venues”, “COVID-19’ and “the demands of motherhood”.She also revealed that she has faced various “unsettling” encounters with her audience in recent times that have made the thought of hitting the road increasingly difficult.The overarching factor that led to her decision, she explained, is the physical and emotional toll that touring can lead to – saying that 17 years of live shows has taken a “major impact” on her life.“After the upcoming UK shows (Aug. 27-Sep.

Ezra Furman has shared a new song – her first for the year – titled ‘Point Me Toward the Real’. The track was produced by John Congleton, and features horn arrangements by Nate Walcott of Bright Eyes along with backing vocals from Shannon Lay and Debbie Neigher.It’s a slow-burning ballad that tells a story about the narrator’s first night after being released from a psychiatric facility.

Green Man has announced the first wave of acts to play its already sold-out 20th anniversary event. Green Man Festival has announced over 70 new acts for their 2022 festival, with Kraftwerk, Beach House and Metronomy set to headline.The festival in Brecon Beacons, Wales had already confirmed that Michael Kiwanuka will co-headline their 2022 event. Chicago-born singer-songwriter Ezra Furman has come out as a transgender woman in a statement posted to Instagram, as Pitchfork points out. "I've come to terms with the fact that I am a woman," Furman wrote in her statement, "and yes for me it’s complex, but it’s complex to be any sort of woman.
