A 'disgusted' mum claims she had to shield her son's eyes during her weekly Tesco shop. Ayesha Idrees popped into Tesco Extra on Huddersfield Road, Oldham, last month, on September 20, when she spotted shelves full of adult toys in the baby and toddler aisle.
The 28-year-old has now started a petition calling on the supermarket to relocate the collection, which she says was at children's eye-level and displayed opposite the baby food and snacks.
The 'protective' mum-of-two, who was pushing her one-year-old in a pram, claims the display made her very uncomfortable. Ayesha says she spoke to the manager to request the store change the display - but says the toys had not moved when she returned the following week on September 29. The mum of two claims she felt 'angry' when a staff member reportedly said her one-year-old wouldn't know what the toys were but Ayesha says she believes it is inappropriate to 'expose innocent eyes to sexual content'.
She has since launched a petition in a bid to force the store to remove the adult toys from the baby aisle. Ayesha, from Oldham, said: "I went to that aisle to get baby food.
