Molly-Mae Hague said she struggled to get doctors to take her seriously before she was eventually diagnosed with endometriosis.

Molly, 23, was first told she had the condition back in July 2021 after sharing that she suffered from “excruciating periods” - leaving fans urging her to go and get checked.

However, Molly clarified that she had previously sought help and guidance, but had been brushed off. She said that her concerns had been ignored or dismissed by doctors who said she just had difficult periods, and she had to seek out a team of private specialists, who told her right away: “You absolutely do have endometriosis, it's clear as day.” On average, it takes a woman seven and a half years from the first onset of symptoms to getting a diagnosis. “My two main symptoms have been the excruciating periods and the excruciating sex,” Molly-Mae said on her Youtube Channel after her diagnosis, and explained that it was the sex in particular that “pushed me into getting my problem fixed.” “Not only was I doing it for me and fixing it for me, which is obviously the main reason, but I was also trying to do it for Tommy,” she continued, referencing her boxer fiancé Tommy Fury, also 23.

Other symptoms of the condition include pelvic and lower back pain, bloating, diarrhoea, painful bowel movements, urinary urgency issues and fatigue.
