Millions of people are set to receive a one-off payment of up to £300 this month. Pensioners and benefit claimants will be awarded the financial boost, with amounts depending on specific circumstances.
The payment will be welcomed by those who have newly claimed Universal Credit this year, although they won't get it automatically.
The Department for Work and Pensions said 11.4 million people received the payment in the previous winter period of 2019/2020.
