Rapper Kangol Kid of the hip-hop group UTFO dead at 55 from colon cancer

Shaun Shiller Fequiere, better known as the rapper Kangol Kid with the hip-hop group UTFO, died on Sunday at age 55 after a 10-month battle with colon cancer.

The artist’s publicist of more than 20 years, Lion Lindwedel, confirmed the news of his death to Fox News Digital.  "Kangol was one of the founding members of the rap group UTFO, Made popular by the mid-80s hit ‘Roxanne, Roxanne’.

Kangol is survived by his parents Andre and Jean Fequiere, three Brothers Andy Joel and Alex, three sons T.Shaun, Andre, and Giovanni, and one daughter Amancia," Lindwedel wrote in a statement to Fox News Digital.
