Former Spice Girl Mel B has revealed that she received racist hate mail during the peak of her fame in the 1990s.The mother of three, who went by the moniker Scary Spice, received the horrible letters after she had purchased a listed building in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.The pop star said: “The fact I bought it disturbed the whole village.

I got not just hate mail but racist hate mail, which was shocking to me. “It said, ‘Get out of this village, you don't belong, you can't buy something like this…’ “It disturbed me but I still threw some great parties there - really loud to disturb the village.” In spite of this unpleasant experience, the 45 year old still believes Britain is more inclusive and sophisticated than most countries.
